WHAT
This fall we enter our 30th year of youth ministry in Camden, and to celebrate we are planning a fantastic party. Our key note speaker will be none other than Presiding Bishop Michael Curry!
Bishop Curry may be new to you if you watched the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle this summer, but he is not new to us. Almost two years ago, Curry visited Camden, toured UrbanPromise, and was joyfully inspired by our children and the work we do here. We invited him to speak at our 30th anniversary banquet and could never have imagined the world-wide audience his preaching was soon to inspire. Some will call it luck, but we call it God’s blessing. And wow do we feel blessed!
On October 23, 2018, join us and enjoy the privilege of hearing not only the voices of our children, but also the dynamic voice of Presiding Bishop Michael Curry! We promise that you'll leave inspired by our kids and with a greater understanding of UrbanPromise's scope and impact within the city of Camden. All proceeds from the Banquet will be used to support UrbanPromise's AfterSchool Programs throughout the City of Camden.
NEW THIS YEAR
This year we are creating a celebratory atmosphere with food stations in the ballroom. You will have time to fellowship with your group and meet new friends. Seating will be made available to accommodate guests who cannot stand for the hour-long food and fellowship time, regardless of the type of ticket.
Dessert this year will include more than our “famous” apple pie! We will have a dessert buffet following the theater presentation and keynote address.
