Charles Tillman, 2013 Walter Payton NFL Player of the Year, visits south Jersey in support of UrbanPromise

The 2013 Walter Payton Player of the Year, Charles Tillman of the Chicago Bears, will be paying a visit to south Jersey in support of UrbanPromise and its many programs that serve children and youth in the City of Camden.

An Evening with Charles and Jackie Tillman…On Monday, January 19 at 6 pm, come here Tillman and his wife Jackie talk about their passion for helping children and their commitment to UrbanPromise in Camden. 

The Tillmans got involved after seeing children in Camden on the ABC News program “20/20 “in 2007.  Since that time, the Tillmans have sponsored children at Urban Promise and supported its many programs.  Additionally, they have visited our campus, treated our teens and staff to amazing dinners, played basketball with the kids during recess, met with families, hosted our youth in Chicago, and opened their hearts and lives to this mission.

When the Bears come to Philadelphia, Jackie makes sure our teens are treated to a great meal and get a chance to attend the game. Our college students receive occasional e-mails from the Tillmans, making sure that studies are taken seriously and classes are attended.

The Tillmans are speaking at the home of  Tom and Nancy Londres in Moorestown New Jersey. This sold out event will beneift UrbanPromise students currently attending college.  More information on the Monday, January 19th event:

Breakfast with Charles Tillman and Beasley Reece…On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, bring your appetite and questions for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year (2013), Pro Bowl Cornerback, and 11-year veteran of the league as Beasley Reece from CBS Philly hosts a breakfast with Charles Tillman. More information on the Tuesday, January 20th event:

Following the breakfast on Tuesday, January 20th, Charles Tillman will head over to UrabnPromise's main campus for a school assembly at 10:30 am in the Spirit Building, located at 27 N. 36th Street, Camden, NJ 08105.  Afterwards the Tillmans will spend time in the classroom with their student partners and visit UrbanPromise's after school programs throughout the city of Camden.
