Toni Farmer is the Director of Development and Marketing at UrbanPromise. With little government support, Toni’s department is tasked with raising the organization’s $4.6 million budget annually from grants and donations. Toni enjoys working with local companies, foundations and thousand of individuals who believe in the mission of UrbanPromise and support programming for the children of Camden.
Toni graduated with a BS in Marketing and a minor in Design from Drexel University and spent her early career in pharmaceuticals with Johnson and Johnson. As a small business owner, she opened Moorestown Interiors in 2004 and enjoyed decorating beautiful homes all Burlington and Camden County.
Toni is proud to have served Moorestown Home and School for many years in many positions, lastly as Chair of Moorestown High School and Chair of PACE (Partnership for Acceleration, Challenge and Enrichment). In 2013 she joined the board of Live Civilly and launched the school district’s first school garden program as well as the OneGarden/OneWeek program that encourages children and parents to care for the gardens during the summer and donate the harvest to one of four local food pantries weekly. In 2014 she joined the board of Moorestown Robotics and helped develop robotics programming opportunities for children in every grade, also serving as President of the parent boosters for the Combustible Lemons, the high school’s competitive robotics (FRC) team.
A passionate environmentalist, Toni has been a member of the school district’s Sustainability Committee and a contributor to Sustainable Moorestown. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania and trying to squeeze in caring for her four children, husband, dog, cat and 6 chickens.
