First Baptist Church of Glenarden
In 2021, Elizabeth Wormley was given a mission on behalf of the congregation at First Baptist Church of Glenarden (FBCG): find a church or mission on the East Coast to partner with in service. Since 2021, FBCG has brought small groups to beautify our campus and serve in our summer camps, all while fellowshipping with another UP partnered Church while they visit (True Covenant Worship Center in Pennsauken). Thank you to FBCG for blessing our young people!
The Haven Church
The Haven Church is new both to Haddonfield and to UrbanPromise. They are a passionate group of individuals who are on fire for God and it shows in their commitment. “They were instrumental in the success of the [summer] Carnival this year,” said our Workgroup manager John Bahm.
Later this year, Dr. Bruce Main will visit them to share a message and worship at a weekend service.
Cherry Hill Chinese Church
Ten participants from Cherry Hill Chinese Church (CHCC) spent a day immersed in our summer camps and beautifying our campus. The Workgroup day ended with an invitation for UP to speak to their youth. We shared with their youth the importance of our work at UP and why we are thankful for all acts of service–you’re never too young to serve! Later this fall, Dr. Bruce Main will be preaching to their congregation. Welcome, CHCC, to the UrbanPromise Family!
