Child sponsors support engaging and educational programming within our neighborhood-based after school and summer camp programs. Each year, these sponsorships allow hundreds of children to participate in activities that improve their academic performance, support the development of necessary life skills, establish positive relationships with caring adults, and nurture their faith.
StreetLeader sponsors support costs associated with our foundational youth leadership and employment program. Through an innovative, hands-on approach to job training, the StreetLeader Program offers employment to 50+ Camden-area teens throughout the year. In addition to preparing StreetLeaders for the professional world, UrbanPromise offers academic enrichment and support, college preparation assistance, health and fitness classes, and community service activities.
Wellness Sponsors support our work to address the impact of toxic stress on children and teens, providing the opportunity for optimal wellbeing of body, mind, and spirit. Our primary goal to build resilience and reducing the impact of toxic stress among our 500+ youth is accomplished through various educational and behavioral health services.
UrbanTrekker Sponsors provide hands-on learning and journey-based experiences to high school students. Through travel to places beyond their everyday lives, youth are motivated to learn more about themselves and the world around them and to develop their potential as young leaders. Trekker Sponsors enable UrbanPromise to offer experiential and expeditionary trips at little to no charge to participants.
Sponsoring a student through UrbanPromise’s Partner Program provides a child or teen with a year of quality Christian education within a safe, structured, and stimulating environment rich in love and compassion.
UrbanPromise encourages Partners to get to know their student(s) by engaging with them throughout the school year at onsite events and also through communications. Partners commit to $3,000 per year, $6,000 per year, or $8,000 per year based on giving level; all gifts underwrite educational costs for our students.
