It always stands out when young people go out of their way to care for others. Our students offer plenty of examples, like hosting in-kind collections of canned goods, taking an offering for a partner church after they experienced a fire, and meeting the needs of a young person at one or our partner sites in Malawi.
Most recently, Mrs. Koss’s 2nd grade class has collected an impressive 360 hats, gloves, and scarves! The items will be handed out as gifts at a local non-profit that serves people experiencing homelessness.
We all know that kids learn from the examples that adults set for them. And thankfully, kids at UrbanPromise have many opportunities to observe generosity and kindness, from and among teachers, staff, families, volunteers, older peers, and donors.
