UrbanPromise’s UrbanCorp Summer Service Program provides college-aged adults with summertime training in urban youth development and ministry. UrbanCorps members work in our summer camps and live in community in the Camden neighborhood in which they work.

UrbanCorps Summer Service Program provides college-aged adults with training in urban youth development and ministry. Experience the power of faith in action as you serve the kids of Camden and grow alongside a supportive community.

Your role? To help us create a safe and fun Summer Camp experience—teaching classes and building relationships. Get ready to forge meaningful connections that will last a lifetime.

We’ll provide you with hands-on training and classes giving you the tools to effectively empower children and teens.

What to know

The Details

— Apply by May 24, 2024
— Program dates: June 23-August 11, 2024
— No Cost – housing & meals are covered
— Group excursions to Philadelphia, New York City, and the Jersey Shore
— Receive a $2,500 stipend upon program completion

 

Qualifications

— Age 18-24, with a high school diploma
— Fluent in English
— Pass background check
— Align with our Values and Code of Conduct

Admission

A formal invitation to join our UrbanCorps team will be made pending the completion of the following: background check form, physical form, proof of medical insurance, child protection policy, and copy of valid photo ID

You will be invited to schedule a phone interview will with our Program Administrator

Our team will be in touch with information about next steps and how to prepare for your UrbanCorps experience
